Independent Medical Group Alliance

A Movement to Preserve Independent Medicine

A coalition of independent medical practices with a single objective: to protect the future of independent medicine and the patients who depend on it.

ABOUT US

What is IMGA?

The Independent Medical Group Alliance (IMGA) is a growing community of fiercely independent physician groups united in preserving autonomy and delivering a level of care that centralized health systems cannot replicate. Formed by some of the nation’s most established medical practices, IMGA is a high-performance collaborative that strengthens physician leadership and elevates clinical outcomes. Practices that believe independence - not consolidation - is the future of medicine are invited to join the network shaping that future.

Voices behind the Alliance

IMGA is committed to returning the practice of medicine to its roots, collaborating to shape a future where patients come first, and care is led and delivered where it belongs: in the hands of independent medical groups.

Amy Mulcaster | DO,CEO The Portland Clinic

IMGA is a network to support and empower independent practices to remain independent with a shared goal of sharing knowledge and data to help navigate challenges we all experience in the healthcare landscape we face.

Jessica Heestand | MD Wake Internal Medicine Consultants

As independent medical groups, we are building a coalition powered by shared experiences, knowledge, strength, and purpose. Not to resist the future, but to shape the future of healthcare in our communities and around the county so that patients receive the highest quality of medical care possible.

Joey Peay | CPA, CEO Murfreesboro Medical Clinic & Surgicenter

IMGA was created to keep help independent practices stay independent. As the backbone of American healthcare, especially in rural parts of the country, it’s crucial they remain viable and a voice for patient-centered care delivery.

Bryan Batson | MD, CEO Hattiesburg Clinic

Physician owned and led medicine is under attack and IMGA is doing something about it. By creating opportunities for leaders in independent medicine to connect and share ideas we strengthen the most under appreciated pillar of the modern health system.

Ryan Farwell | CEO Salem Clinic

If we don’t shape the future of healthcare, someone else will. IMGA empowers independent voices to lead with strength and vision.

Tom Sanchez | CEO The Oregon Clinic

IMGA helps doctors fight back against the corporate takeover of Medicine. We work to make independent practices thrive and show the country the value that physicians not beholden to large health care systems can provide: better care, closer to home, more personal and less expensive.

Barbara McAneny | MD, CEO, AMA Former President New Mexico Oncology Hematology Consultants
